The liveliness of any organisation depends on constant expansion and growth. The organisation loses its impact if it stops the continuous movement forward just like stinking stagnant water. Hence Karyakarta must endeavour expansion and consolidation of organisation regularly. It cannot be neglected in any condition. Expansion to any extent cannot be considered adequate. This is applied to all kinds of organisations. Various limbs and ultimate unit of organisation ‘Karyakarta’ must constantly be added, same as new cells being continuously born in a living body. The nature of activities and vested interest of the members make this quantitative growth easier in the mass organisations. The thought-based organisations need Karyakartas with special qualities and the vested interests are also replaced with common good. Hence, the work of building Karyakarta base is to be done consciously. This process has been documented stepwise in this series of articles.

1. Outreach – Many new persons come in contact through various events, functions, celebrations and other normal workings of the organisation. Responsible office bearers and Karyakartas need to contact them with proper planning. This is the first step in outreach. To get acquainted completely and establishing an informal communication is the purpose of this first visit. Personal connect is also important but it is organisationally more effective to visit in a team. Visiting new contacts by forming teams of 2-3 Karyakartas makes it easier to connect them with the organisation. Home visits enables family connect as well.
The organisations working in the field of education may visit the educational institutions. It is more productive as it gives opportunity to connect with more colleagues and possibilities of more outreach is created. New connect is only the beginning of outreach. If the contact joins the organisation, then the connect will continue; if not, efforts will continue. In both cases outreach has to happen. The connect is as joyful as it is informal. Thus, starts Friendship. Along with the attendance list of various programmes, our personal contact list and nowadays the phone book of our mobile is a treasure of new contacts. We can start from ‘A’ and selecting a few names daily, outreach is easily possible. There are a lots of outreach avenues these days which need to be used diligently but the traditional method of face-to-face meeting is most effective.

Messaging can be used for giving information but this cannot be called outreach. Speaking on phone is more direct than this. Video calls are also in vogue for a few years now. Audio visual communication is nearer than just voice call but nothing can replace actual meeting in person. Hence direct visits with proper health precautions should be preferred. Inviting new contact to the organisational office or residence ensures connection with the organisation. When we visit their home or workplace, they feel more affinity & oneness. All these outreach levels have to be selected by Karyakartas with due organisational diligence. Before mobiles came in practice, all information was given by direct contact. This connect is also necessary even now. When invitation for marriages have also become impersonal through messaging, a sudden simple visit without any selfish interest becomes a tonic for friendship. As such in devotion, grace of Bhagavan is considered unselfish because He doesn’t expect anything. In the same way when Karyakarta visits without any expectation in return, that contact is very impactful.
Outreach is the daily work of every Karyakarta. Not a day should pass without it. When done resolutely, it becomes Sadhana (Spiritual Practice). Expansion of organisation is no doubt ensured, but more importantly, personality development of Karyakarta is guaranteed. Hence, getting into habit of regular outreach is must for oneself, organisation and Nation building.

Relationship with politeness, with sweet speaking is must as collages have different visions , intrest, cast -politics etc.
